Pacific lake/lake view ranch next to Odessa
« on: August 23, 2021, 02:26:08 PM »
Buddy says he was told the pub land was a good bet for modern season and has had a lot off success there including last year.  I’ve heard the opposite and that it’s crowded and tough to hunt.  Considering all other option is it worth a scouting trip and or a weekend of already limited hunt time.  Is any of that pub land near there worth the trip?
I think we should try some new spots in 101 or any spots in the 100 units but he seems pretty confident in his buddy.  I’m most familiar with 111 but want to take advantage of the early mule deer season and focus on WT later if need be.

Take a drive out there and look at the roads.  Looks like a rally race occurs there year round.  It gets tons of pressure.  I've had second deer tags in the unit and even then it was crowded.  Go North.
If you aint hunting, you aint livin'

In all honesty it’s a pumpkin patch.
