Beautiful buck
The only man who never makes a mistake, is the man who never does anything!!
The further one goes into the wilderness, the greater the attraction of its lonely freedom.

I punched my multi-season tag last Friday. I didn’t want to on a buck this small but I had to when I saw the tracking collar!
I hunt therefore I am.

Very cool  We killed one back in the 80,s that was collared over in the valley. Ours had a brass plate on the collar that said if this is found or this buck is killed to please report to the Game Department, we turned it in and a couple weeks later got a letter telling us the history of the buck, from the time and location of his collaring by the bio and his crew to the bucks movement over the years they tracked him until the batteries went dead. It was all really cool, they tracked him way up into British Columbia for his summer range then back down into the Methow for the winter, we killed him within a mile or so from where they tranquilized him and collared him, it was this particulars Bios first collaring. There was much more to the letter but to lengthy to tell here. Once again, congratulations

This is my muzzleloader quality tag deer, took me 5 hours to get within range of him and his doe, and when I got to 85 yards I was able to double lung him.

Good job man that’s a trophy. Nice blacktail with a muzzy and sounds like an awesome hunt

Wow, it looks to me like you put that poor buck out of his misery robescc given how tight that collar is. What general area if you don't mind me asking?  Curious to hear what you learn about this.

No doubt - hopefully your next BT will be a monster.  The collar looks tight and constricting. Poor guy!

Really cool to get a collared one. I would call before eating it. He's obviously been tranquilized.

Fortunate enough to harvest this 2x2 whitetail buck today. One shot from my Browning X-Bolt Stalker Long Range 30-06 @ 340 yards, and he tumbled down the mountain. ALL GLORY TO GOD!
