so i am building an ar and am trying to decide on which caliber
i have exerience with the .223/5.56 but cant decide
going to use it primarily on coyotes :twocents:please
In this country we have no place for hyphenated Americans.

you will more than likely be further from a decision after we get done with you. But I would say the 223 for sure. You can buy bulk ammo (if you can find it) and I would say if you reload you can shoot it much cheaper.. 204 is a little bit hotter round but not all that much more.

 :yeah: I can still find good .223 hunting ammo (with V-Max and TNT bullets) for less than $25.00 per box of 50.  I personally don't own a .204, but I have six .223s.  With my DPMS Lo Pro, I've shot 1/4" groups with Black Hills 50 gr V-Max (blue box).

I have a 204 and 223. I would go with a 223 for coyotes any day.
