Nice job to you and your wife Trophyhunt. Your son in law's remorse is very commendable. To this day I always feel a little remorse after a harvest. But its bitter sweet type remorse. Its a good thing I think.

I agree, I was very pleased to hear him admit that. The older I get, the more the killing part means to me.  I love the hunt more than ever, when I was younger the killing part didn't even enter my mind.  I've always said a prayer for the animal, but now it means more.  I was proud of him for sure, and I let him know that that's what makes a good responsible hunter.  Hunters care way more about these animals than any anti hunter.

I thought so, figured you were talking about Pete. Are you getting a chance to go with him????  Maybe if you, Leroy and I put in as partners the system would crash!!lol. Someday I'll wise up and put in with the wife!!  Good to hear from you, tell all the guys I said hello!

I offered Steve all my help, but he said his brother owed him since he helped him out on his goat hunt a few years back.  Plus, he has nephews going up also.  They are into billies, but just not the one yet.  I'll keep ya posted and I'll tell everyone that you said hello.  Good luck the rest of this season.

Who said cow moose hunting was boring!!!  Holy crap, sometimes there is a horny bull with the cow you shoot that isn’t very happy w you!!  That was crazy! My son in law shot his first animal ever, a big cow moose this morning. We went up to get her and didn’t even notice in the thick stuff that a 4-5 year old bull was 10’ away from us and pissed! He chased us off the mountain in a frenzy! Holy crap that was fun!  The bull never left her side, we were kinda stuck, even after shooting he wouldn’t budge.  Luckily we found some guys who were helping a blind guy that had a bull tag! Perfect scenario!  After about 2 hours, he made it to where we were, shot the bull at 25 yards and the work begun!!!  So cool! One more cow to kill!  Seen 5 moose today alone, 3 cows two bulls.

Exciting stuff!
There are only so many sunrises left.
