That time of year?
« on: October 05, 2021, 07:29:04 AM »
Not really a question but more of an observation that it is getting to be that time of year where the bucks start thickening up, at least the ones visiting the yard every day,  are starting to thicken up in the necks and chest. Have noticed a considerable change in the 2 x and the 3 x. Both looking stockier.

I haven't seen any swollen necks, but saw a spike trailing a doe today.  He's following and sniffing and she keeps running off.

Funny, Heading up for my early archery deer hunt, I passed a recently cut down orchard that sees lots of muleys in it. I could hardly believe it when i glanced over and saw a deer mounted up on another one. Not sure if the one on top was a doe or buck, but it had the position "dialed in" and looked to me like "it" was happening.  :chuckle: :chuckle:
