Anyone done a guided or semi guided mule deer hunt in WA? Was researching and there are a lot to choose from. Who have you liked or heard good things about?
Thanks!

My suggestion is to find some public land. First hand experience...

I wouldn’t waste my time in this state with an outfitter.

Onx is your friend.
You can also go to DNR website had a map site that will show you all stateland.
Before Onx some county's have map sites that will show property owners and property Lines. But that varies from county to county here in washington.

I start out with the caveat that he can sometimes be a bit gruff but Aaron at early Winters outfitters is my only first hand experience and I had a great trip. He did a drop camp for us in the national forest during the general season. It was my dad's last hurrah so I hunted with him pretty close to camp almost the entire trip. We were into a good amount of deer just sticking to the trail and I'm absolutely positive from the activity and the sign that if any of us had tried hunting harder we would have come.home.witb a couple. It was a great trip and we got what we wanted out of it.
The area just burned but I was back hiking around below where he dropped us years ago and there's still alot of sign and activity. Good luck wherever you end up.

If I was spending the money on a guided hunt it wouldn't be in this state. $3K is alot of dough for a what you get. A drop camp I could potentially see.

Depends on what type of hunt you are looking for Archery, Muzzle loader, Modern Firearm? Horseback into the wilderness, lodge with all the amenities? Bearpaw, the guy who runs this blog, would be a great place to start he has a great business and guides hunters to Mule Deer every year. You are a little late in the game if you are looking for modern firearm this year. You looking for next year?

Tangle woods comes to mind. I have zero affiliation with them, just know by reputation, he’s a pretty good guy. Might be a place to start.

I’ve used all the ones mentioned except tangle woods
Done a couple day hunts with Bruce at iciclecreek outfitters for my daughters had a good time and the price was good because you are only paying for the day but get the use of his stock and their expertise in the area
Done y and j several times great outfit and private property so that makes it nice used early winters once
Okanagon valley guide service several times private property as well more expensive than the others but well worth it
You can pm me if you have any specific questions on any of these outfitters

I've fished with YJ a couple times and have another one on the books for early December. I wouldn't hesitate to talk to him about a hunt.
