Semi Custom Tikka Build - Who do you recommend?

I’m starting my tikka build and am looking for a good gunsmith.  I have the donor rifle and a prefit Proof barrel.   Please send me recommendations and share your experience with them.  Thank you!

Most smiths are good with you bringing your own parts and pieces but not all smiths will do prechambered prefits and some aren't real big fans of Proof barrels. 

Karl Kampfeld http://www.kampfeldcustom.com/ is not only a great smith but will generally build on about anything you want and Karl has one of the best turn around times of all the gunsmiths I've used.  Also, Karl is very good with communication and doesn't BS you of give excuses.  Whatever time frame he tells you you can pretty much take it to the bank.

Screw the barrel on and go shoot !   Mike at HCA is specializing in Tikka Customs - check him out. 

Note:  Most gunsmiths are going to be 8 months to completion if you need parts - or even if you don't.   

LRI is one of the fastest and I'm 8 months into a build that I supplied all the parts for!

2nd on Mike & HCA. He’s done a bunch of Tikka builds & highly recommend if you’re willing to be be patient in getting it done. If not look elsewhere.
