Mountain marten line
« on: December 30, 2021, 06:40:21 PM »
It’s a slow start just a lot of snow and bad roads , started out setting a couple cat cages and went to one ridge and got 4 marten traps set and while snowshoeing ack out there was marten tracks in mine and my 2nd box had a mature male in it still kicking ! And a two day check I picked up another big male but everything was buried in snow so it was a dig out day and I got 12 boxes out now . We will see how this year goes

Honestly my favorite thread is when you post up about the marten. Wish you would take along a go pro and make some videos, YouTube marten trapping videos are lacking

Looks like a great sport that I wish I'd started at a younger age.

Get em buddy. Used to love trapping Marten in Montana, back in the day.  Honestly, I think my favorite was mink. Just something about those little devils.
