Montana wolf hunting pause
« on: January 31, 2022, 01:07:28 PM »
"The wolves in Yellowstone have had a tough season.

Recent reports revealed that a large number of wolves once living in Yellowstone National Park had been killed by hunters. While it’s believed that the wolves left the park grounds and were harvested legally, officials were still concerned about the high number of deaths."

Seems like a reasonable response to keep management control with the state instead of the federal government.
I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies

Operation Epic Fury quickly became Operation Epic Fail and, as usual, Trump is clueless. Nobody is surprised.

Even the stupid people are starting to get it

My guess is they are running out of food and or the packs are too big and they are spreading outside the park.

Yep. They are getting killed outside the park which means the park's pack is beyond its carrying capacity.

Exactly. If they had plenty of food and place to spread out why the hell would they be leaving the park. That’s the whole point of the boundary. The only way they learn where they belong is when they get killed for stepping over the line. Not shooting the ones leaving the park is just gonna make even more of them leave the park

More like their food source (elk ) dwindled. Did anyone see that 60 minutes clip on them? Swayed just like the National Geographic's

Agreed. The carrying capacity exceeded the amount of food available because they were eating all the deer and elk. Had to travel outside the park to find more food and got shot. Circle of life
