Cascade Cup
« on: February 03, 2022, 11:41:20 AM »
Anyone here going to fish in the Cascade Cup on Cascade Lake in Idaho?  I think I am going to go down and join in just for fun.

I believe the Cascade Cup is sponsored by Tackle Toms? There’s some serious prizes  like a dodge pickup or a Snowdog, etc… I was hoping to make it back to Cascade to do that but it’s just too far out for us. You thinking of entering? I don’t think it breaks the bank to do so, why not!

$25 bucks to enter.  The big prize is a 2022 Dodge truck, BUT, you have to catch a State Record Perch, :)  So not really much of a chance, but Cascade Lake has broken the record a few times!  I am thinking of going down and participating.  Problem is you really need a snowmobile.  Right now you can get a wheeled ATV out in the mornings, but probably end up stuck in the slush by the end of the day.  Many have.  Even tracked ATVs and UTVs have been getting seriously stuck in the afternoons.  Vast lake, over 20 miles long and 4 miles wide.  World Class Perch fishery though.  There are a few easy areas you can walk to, but the name of the game is to be able to move and find active fish and that gets hard to do on foot.
