How to price SKS for sale
« on: February 25, 2022, 04:14:59 PM »
So, I have a few SKS's I'm probably ready to sell.

I know how to spell SKS.
I know about a thousand countries made them in a million different configuration.
That's all I know about them.

Does anyone know if a good resource for pricing various SKS's for sale?

Thanks,
Dan

I know some Ukrainians would like to get their hands on them. Other than that, check Gun broker

Everything on Gun broker is overpriced.  I'd check your local gun shop.  I know times are different now, but I bought my last 2 SKS's for $75 a piece.  That was 20 yrs ago.

Fjestad Blue book of gun values, very comprehensive, you can buy print copy or go online and pay $3.95 for a month and find what you need.

If you look a lot of gun dealers at shows have these books.

You must be as old as me.

I was buying them for as little as $50, as I recall.
Bought at around $75 also.

Some of mine were packed in fish oil.   You could literally see fish scale parts in the oil they were packed in.

I cleaned them up good.   They smelled like fish, LOL

I bought 3 back in the late 80's/early 90's for about $70 I think.  Russian models with the whole 9 yards.  Plastic like stocks.  Still have one of them in the original boxed, wrapped in wax paper and cosmoline.
