Only about a month from the spring season boys and girls.  The offer still stands. Really enjoy those big northeast Washington Merriam wings!   :hello:

Been really busy building arrows for archers in the USA, even sent three dozen to a fella in Isreal a couple months.
This particular set went to the North Idaho Traditional Bowhunters as a donation for their annual Fathers Day 3-D shoot.

I don't hunt turkeys in the rain, the wet turkeys make for crappy photos  :chuckle:

I went out last Friday morning for the first hunt of the year.  Got on several tom's, but when I'd close the distance they'd get quiet. Fairly common with henned up birds. Mid morning I struck up another bird that was likely henned up, but had a couple satellite birds hanging nearby.  I setup and decided to call once and wait to see what developed. Barely a minute goes by and a tom and jake come sneaking in.  As I waited the jake moved to about 3-4 yards to my right and was staring ay my right ear like it was something edible. Finally my bird stepped out from behind a big rock and I took the shot.  Typical 2 year old tom.

Just a note about your comment about the rain…
I am indifferent about rain but It rained a lot on Wednesday morning after the opening. Roads we had driven every day where we had seen little or no action had birds. I’ve never seen more birds in the last 20 years as I did that day.

My dad had the same mind frame about working in the rain in eastern WA... Then he moved to western WA in his 30's for work and figured out you didn't have a job if you did that...  :chuckle:  He was a framer... Congrats!
I love you... I really do...

Years ago I'd hunt any chance I had and killed birds in every type of weather.  I worked in the rain and snow 52 weeks of the year, so no big deal.
But now that I'm retired from cutting timber I can pick and choose the days that I hunt.   :)
