2022 turkey thread for all to post their harvest. I noticed no one started it, so I'll try to get the ball rolling. Good luck everyone.

21st bird harvested in my lifetime and my smallest ever. I harvested this jake at 1pm. He came in with 2 other jakes. I shot him at 25 yards with my Mossberg 500 turkey 12 guage. The birds were fired up today, I must have heard over 100 gobbles. Time to fill tag #2 with a mature Tom. Good luck everyone the rest of the Spring season.💥🦃

All my mentor hunts. Dad and son double up. First time turkey hunter gets 2 in one shot a jake and the nice tom. My mentor trainee gets 2 birds all opening weekend. Following weekend another first time turkey hunter gets his first bird. I also got one 2 dsy of opener got total of 8 birds between 6 people. My success is based upon who I helped get birds mine is just a bonus.

Opening Weekend! I’ve harvested several Tom’s with a shotgun in seasons past- but I’ve wanted to take one with a bow for quite sometime! 45-50 yard shot. Now I’m hooked and will have a hard time going back . Grateful for all the lesson my friends and husband have taught me over the years! Good luck chasing gobblers everyone!!

April 16. Tracked him down in the snow, four clucks, and he came in to 18 yards.

This guy surprised me!! Heard him gobble a ways off. Thought I would play with him anyway and gobbled back.....he gobbled, I gobbled. This went on for a couple rounds, then I shut up and hit the hen call about 5 minutes after sitting quietly. It wasn't 2-3 minutes and he let off a gobble that about made me crap my pants.....
. He was 20 yards in front of me and all I could see was his head move. Couple minutes later and he presented a shot.
Weird thing about this guy.....I hammered him in the low neck. Clearly did not break his neck so he flopped, rolled, jumped and then ran like the wind. Well, CRAPPPP!!! I take off after him to notice a blood trail that a blind man could follow. Approx 100 yards later, I find him piled up. Never had to track a turkey before....
Super grateful to have recovered him and still cannot believe a turkey can loose that much blood that fast and still cover 100 yards.
