NEVADA big game draw
« on: April 25, 2022, 02:51:51 PM »
Nevada is due May 10th.   155.00 for non res license.  if you draw, elk is 1200.00  Deer and antelope are respectable at 240 and 300.00 for the tags. There are "one horned ram tags" now lol. Management hunt, this tag is for residents  and one horn must be half the length of the longest or other horn.  Are there busted up rams?  Never heard of this. Global warming?  Anyways good luck to everyone. Going in with 13pts across the board. Trying to figure out a good hunt, not trophy and something that can be pulled with the points i have. Same for deer.

Yes, I happens a fair amount. Then for obvious reasons they get passed on each year.

From what they said, the one horn is due to disease/infection. Not just fighting? If I remember correctly.

I'm in for everything a non resident is eligible for. But not expecting much. Hopefully I get lucky and draw an archery deer tag.

I'm in, 11 points but not holding my breath for anything.  Up 36% since 2018 is not a good sign at all.

Another inadvertent consequence of GoHunt. Helpful tool no doubt, but it’s opened the door to thousands of people. Inflation and gas prices should bring application numbers down this year in theory. Drought has also been awful down there last couple years which has had an impact on quality and quantity of animals supposedly. You can see it reflected in the success rates for some of the more prominent areas. Random chance of drawing every year so it doesn’t hurt to apply!

Yup. There is always a chance. I drew a rifle deer tag my very first year applying.

I’m in with 6 points for deer and elk. Swinging for the fences this year. I’m already booked up with hunts

In for mule deer, late season hunts, elk late season, and desert bighorn. Definitely going in the guided draw for rifle mule deer next year, odds go from 1 in 1200 to 1 in 160 or less. Dreaming big, a long way from hunting box blinds in Florida.

I've never pulled a tag in Nevada. Been putting almost 15 years.

This year I plan to change that by drawing a desert sheep tag and a mule deer tag :IBCOOL:

9 more hours to go, although I kind of liked the midnight madness.  Was fun to stay up and check results.  Nevada is ahead of the other states on releasing draw results and at least turning it into an event.

I’m not holding my breath, I put in for the harder hunts to draw which really is all of them hahaha, bc I’m moving to AK. However, if I do draw I won’t complain to much.

I did draw an Antelope tag last year which was fun.
