I want to open carry one on a chest holster, with a go pro just to see people's reactions

I had a 4in 500 for a long time that I just sold a few months ago.  It was fun but kind of a novelty too.  They are literally a freakin hand cannon and you better be holding on tight when it goes off cause they are a handful of thunder.

I’ve shot allot of Carp with one. Lots of fun.  Carp can fly.

Shooting them with both hands is not too bad, but boy, shooting them one-handed kind of makes the web of your hand a bit tender.

I recall a "Myth Busters" where they demonstrated the dangerous gasses that escape in the gap between the barrel and cylinder.  They built a "hand" out of raw chicken wings and wrapped it over the gap on a 500 SW.

the hand was destroyed, bones were broken.  It was impressive.

Sure are fun to shoot!

Great hunting round, but rather large for defensive carry in the field. Not sure it’s legal or safe to use for fishing in this state..

Come up to my area and I will let you shoot my 460 S&W. I might even be able to borrow a buddies 2.5" 500 S&W to try out.
