Quinault rifle early bull tag
« on: June 18, 2022, 09:46:01 AM »
Happy Saturday.

It’s taken a few days to settle in. After 27 years of putting in for this hunt, I finally drew it.  It has always been my first choice.   I drew the Matheny as a second choice in 2008, and had a good hunt with a decent 5 point.    Somewhat familiar with the unit, and the land owner issues.   Its now down to 3 tags verses 5, and a short season of sep 26 thru 30.  Five days is a short window.   I am hoping for decent weather that keeps the River crossable each day.   My goal............     Have the best elk hunt of my life, and have the opportunity to shoot a mature Rosie bull.    I am turning 60 this nov, so I doubt I will ever have another great permit elk hunt like this, so I am giving it my all.  Always welcome pm’s from our members who want to share info.

All the best this year in the woods, and Happy Fathers Day!
Bryan

Good luck and congrats on the tag! My buddy drew this tag as well. It’s always been his first choice too. He’s pretty excited.

Congratulations! Great tag to have. It sounds like you have a handle on the private property limitations people can run into.  I’m pretty local so if you ever need a hand hit me up. Happy to share my cell via pm if you’d like to have some local emergency contact.

Congrats! Should be a good hunt, I've helped a few tag holders. If you need any help I'm just in aberdeen also. You got a chance at a dandy Rosie if things line up
