went to one of my secret spots last evening hoping to see some elk, but not expecting too due to snow (so I didn't take a camera

) Anyway got up there and the first thing I saw was a huge chocolate colored bear that I had seen last elk season. He was feeding on a hillside not 50 yards from two nice bulls! Neither the bulls or the bear cared that the other was so close. In fact after about an hour, the bear just layed down right there on the hill and went to sleep. Anyway, we ended up seeing 8 bulls, about 20 cows, 4 bucks, and about 12 does. Guess from now on, I'll be packing the spotter, tripod and camera.....elk season is already looking good, the antler growth I've seen already is nothing short of amazing for this early.
