Tag Soup :bash:

The only Whitetail I saw was the one I nearly hit. I was on the road between FS2200 and the one going to Priest Lake above Sullivan Lake. I had turned back from a point where the road was solid ice. I passed a little turn out with a seasons old fire ring and thought..hm go back, park & start working. Just as I hit the brakes the biggest Deer I've ever seen (the ones that get away always are, huh?) came bounding across the road, flashed his white butt and tail and was off. I got out and loaded up as fast as I could and went into the brush where he did.

What I found was a very, very old road. A virtual 3/4 lane moss covered speedway...He's probably still laughing at me.

I still had a good time. The drive back over Highway 20 from Collvile to Newhalem was a lot of fun, blinding rain and snow. Had the road pretty much to myself I really did enjoy it.

Had 3 Does and a spike buck play chicken with me. Geez every time I go over to the  Eastside I have 3-4 deer jumping in front of me :dunno:

For a guy that hasn't done this in 25? years getting skunked don't hurt to bad.

And just to show what a humble guy I am, to give you all a laugh and because it might be good for me.

I remembered to pack the Doe Pee and scent wicks..But I FORGOT MY CALLS :bash: :bash: :bash:
