focusing on river beaches
«

curious if anyone has had success focusing on beaches/openings by rivers. I always see bear tracks & berries. shooting lanes are generally fine. However, I've never really heard of anyone focusing their hunt in these areas. Curious if there is a reason as to why or perhaps people do and just aren't talking about it as much as clear cuts/higher elevation meadows etc. I do think it is more difficult to "hear" the bear given the noise of the water...

That’s the only way I hunted them in se Alaska don’t see why it wouldn’t work elsewhere. We don’t have many “beaches” in my Idaho bear spots so I have never tried it in the northwest
