Tips on finding cheap, good ammo
« on: August 26, 2022, 09:59:19 AM »
My gun is a 9mm. What are some tips on finding cheap target-grade ammo? Is the best place online? Are bulk group buys still a thing?

I am just newish to this and this ain't cheap.  :chuckle:

Have you checked out Ammo Seek? It's just a search engine for ammo. It lists all the places to buy your specific caliber and sorts the results by price per round. Sometimes you can find some pretty good deals.
Here's the link: https://ammoseek.com/

I have been using Freedom Munitions for the past year for my .223/.40/.380/9mm bulk ammo.  I buy the house brand and 50% of the time I buy their remanufactured (reloads).  Can't tell the difference from new factory.  Have not have one dud cartridge yet.  Very pleased.  Made in Idaho.

Act like a Democrat...

Do whatever it takes to keep people from figuring out how you obtained your wealth... I mean ammo. Use misdirection and lie about where it came from. Accuse others of buying cheap ammo at places they didn't buy it from. Say the other guys been buying it from you and you don't actually have any cheap ammo. Tell people about a place that doesn't actually have cheap ammo so they won't go looking where you got your cheap ammo... In the end just lie and hoard it and don't tell anyone the truth. That's how it's done.

Ooh and maybe find a foreign country to just give you the ammo or sell it to only you even cheaper if your willing to throw the other ammo buyers under the bus!

Dang it, forgot to answer the actual inquiry. I buy bulk target grade online like most do but I avoid any of the coated ammo. It just gets your gun dirtier quicker. Avoid steel casings as well. Anything else is practically the same for target loads.

Very hard to beat in store prices when you get hammered with shipping.

That's where I have been getting most of my ammo. The cheapest 9mm they seem to have is $20/50rnd bx.
