Online/App based Hunt Planners
« on: August 31, 2022, 02:08:28 PM »
I'm thinking ahead a few years and looking at maybe doing some out of state hunts - is anyone using an application or web service to research hunts, draw odds, success rates, etc. in other states? If so, what service are you using, and what are your thoughts on it - is it user friendly, do you like it, does it actually work...? Before I go and spend money on something I'd like to see if someone else has had success with it. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

I have used GoHunt for years and have liked it but you need to remember that all their odds are based on the previous year's numbers so should be taken as advice not gospel. I use it as much to research units as I do for the odds themselves.

I think Gohunt and Epic Outdoors are great. Gohunt is a little easier to use but not as detailed for specific tags. Epic has awesome info and they will even help manage your application strategy and will apply for you for an additional fee. Epic will connect you with others that have drawn the same tag you have or draw.

That being said, gohunt covers my needs so I use them primarily but Eoic has top notch info.
