I managed to draw a second deer rifle tag for the Deschutes unit. I've been doing some escouting online and it's a bit hard to tell what is open to public access. The majority of it is owned by timber LLC's. "Bascom Pacific", "Port Blakely Tree farm", "PB lumber" and a small sliver or two of WDFW land.
Does anybody know if those timber companies allow public access? It looks like Port Blakely does outside of fire season. I tried emailing all of them but haven't heard back. I'm going to spend the next few weekends scouting and would love to know where I can actually access.
