Central idaho/horses
« on: November 20, 2022, 09:17:58 AM »
Not looking for any sort of honey hole by any stretch, just looking for direction. I have 3 horses, and am looking for an elk area in idaho that gets me away from the quads. I hunted 10a years ago, and do not want to experience the quads ever again. I have been looking between unit 39, salmon units, and smokey bennett units. Can anyone speak for horse trails in these areas?

Thanks!

People own horses to get away from others.
Good luck.

You were very close in 10a to hunting lots of remote country that barely sees a hunter

You said "3 horses".  Does that mean you have an "extra horse" and you are looking for a hunting partner...?
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Pick a spot and plan on spending time cutting trail to get where you want to go
You gonna draw those pistols or whistle Dixie?
