having never taken a blacktail I would be excited to get a buck like yours!

Genesis 27:3 Now then, get your equipment—your quiver and bow—and go out to the open country to hunt some wild game for me

well we hiked up bout 4 miles to the helicpoter cuts that we hunt. there's a road most the way up, so we push bikes up so then we can ride them out. so all day we were hunting and we had no luck. there was bout 4 inchs of snow and we saw there tracks but they was all bout a day old, they were moving down. by late afternoon we decided to head out and hunt down below the snow line. and on the way down this guy walked out right to me. he didnt see me till i pulled my gun up, and then it was over. he was only 3 miles back, so we halfed him and tried to rid him out the rest of the way. the road we walk up is now grown over with wash outs and lots of downed trees so it wasnt as easy geting him out this year as it once was. but im happy with him, ran into another buck on the way out that i coulda shot, he was a bit smaller then mine

Darn nice buck, anything with a extra tine or eyeguard is respectable!

Good Looking last season buck.  Congrats, one of these days I will focus on Blacktails, maybe when I draw that multi season tag.  Way to go
