If you're in collections, the debt collector is not allowed to tell anyone they contact that your delinquent/behind/owe any debt. They can ask anyone, including employers, for your contact info. But they can't say why they want it other than to contact you. If you tell the collectors that you can't take personal calls at work, they have to stop calling you at work.
