Floating Rat Traps

Has anyone on here used Mike Matney's or similar Floating rat traps and what are your thoughts on them?

I have a bunch of them and yes they work but you should spread carrots or apples around a week before hand to get them craving them

All mine have to be drop doors as I got them from mike a long time ago

I understand the drop doors inside, but I see he sells one without the entrance door and one with. Supposedly to keep out smaller rats.

Mine are early model and have entrance doors. I have not yet seen hid trap without the entrance doors.
