Looking for ideas
« on: January 13, 2023, 02:16:29 PM »
Hey y’all,
So sitting here in the rain and it has me feeling all cabin fevered. I was thinking about planning a little shed hunt adventure for this spring. I’m hoping to keep it to about a 10 hour drive each way (out of the seattle area)and will prob have 4-5 days total. Anyone have any good ideas? Where would you go? Hoping to find elk and deer, but doesn’t really matter. Kinda just looking for a fun new adventure and explore some new country with hopes of packing out some sheds. What chya got??

I see your looking for adventure.
But thinking,do you have a favorite hunting spot on onx.
Just look on the map ,maybe a mile more into some virgin ground.,or maybe 20 mile up the highway to a different access point.
That way your already expanding areas where you are fimilar with.
That's all I got . :dunno:

Not many dudes are going to point you in the direction of sheds especially on a public forum. Pick a place where deer winter and make a plan. You should be able to figure out some areas on your own.

And yes I was waiting for the guy on the porta potty holding his horse reigns to go for a ride without being tall in the saddle  :chuckle:

4-5 days in the spring with a 10 hour drive. I would be turkey hunting.

Oh I wasn’t looking for anyones spots. I’ve got a few of my own. I was just looking for basic ideas ya know? Like, “a buddy of mine said he found some big ones in SE Oregon”. Or “I stopped in NW Nevada one time and found a few”. That’s all. Thanks though. 👍
