the cruise was not my favorite thing in the world, but it was ok. i didn't like being trapped on the boat for my first trip to AK.
i wanted to be off the boat exploring land.

great deals on cruises right now, so thats not too surprising.
we did it as a family reunion for everyone after my grandfather passed away, so it wasn't my choice. i think cruises are great probably for the right people. there was a casino and bars all over the place, a few nice restaurants and stuff, so if you're into that kind of thing, it would be great.
i did get to see part of the yukon which was cool, took a helicopter and landed on the mendenhall glacier and hiked around for a while, which was cool, so i can't complain too much.

We hit the glacier too, that was very cool. I was amazed how many jewelery stores there were at every stop, be prepared because the ladies hit every one of them.

Get them going against each other and you might get a pretty good deal.

Its not the lodge people its some of the horse guides that worked there the last few years.  The contract changed hands and now the Carcross first nation handles the horses.

Were doing well Rougheye.......economy hasn't slowed down the Ivory/Jewelry sightseeing stuff at all.
