I spent most of Nov north of Colville. Wolf sign everywhere I went. Looks to me that Washington is the Wolf hatchery, restocking BC and Idaho. We are not being a good neighbor.

There is some hope this bill will pass, having bi-partisan support. Any of you living in King County might contact your reps and get their responses on record.

We really need to adopt BC rules, Idaho, though positive, is way to complicated.  Just a good neighbor here

Yup I agree with ya!
There are more wolves than WDFW let's on.
Just like every species that they manage there is no exact number,of how many.
So when they say x-amount of breeding pairs or 200 wolves in the state . That's just admission of what's there.
Pretty easy to turn a blind eye,and look the other way in NE Washington. Alot of woods to hide there secrets in.

To clarify my theory a little bit:
It appears to me that thedispersal of wolves out of NEWa would naturally flow to BC and Idaho rather than the rest of Eastern Wa and even the North Cascade region. Therefore excess wolves produced in NEWA would do nothing to bolster the total wolf numbers for Wa. Which as the program stands we need for delisting. So NEWA will continue to raise wolves, exceeding the carrying capacity of the land, with the majority of excess wolves migrating North and East until as Dr, Valarious Geist (spelling) says “until they vacuum the area clean of game”. At which time the whole system crashes, to start over from scratch.
So this proposal would help to stop the NE corner of Wa being responsible for being the Wolf hatchery forever.

I think Dr. Geist is thought of as old school and currently irrelevant in regards to this states wolf managers.

Sad but true buckfvr. Even though Dr Geist is the preeminent expert on ungulate management.
