Good job.  I really enjoyed the video.

The way he rolled down after the shot, the ground must have been steeper than what it appeared in the video.  Very cool.

beautiful pictures, and great lookin bear there congrats. just goes to show you dont need a magnum rifle, or high power optics.

What make/ model is the 30-30?
I've got a really cool OLD winchester model 64 WCF 30-30 that was handed down to me from my grandfather. Special rifle!

Thanks for the post.  I have watched the video about 10 times and emailed it to everyone I know.   :chuckle:  I am so pumped up for August I may have to go scouting again this weekend.  I hardly ever see bears down here but I am going to hit it hard this year and see if I can figure these animals out.  Got my calls from Rick and cant wait to start causing some noise pollution in the woods.

That's the exact same model.

We pulled this out of the gutpile. We also found bullet fragments in the neck meat.
