stabilizers

What is the concensus on stabilizers for hunting?  I have never used one.  Do they help noticeably with accuracy and noise reduction?  What length seems to be the best tradoff between carrying extra weight and performance?  What brands?

Can't go wrong with a standard Simms. Should be able to pick one up around $20 -25 best bang for the buck IMO.

need to know what bow you are shooting? Sims will give you Noise Reduction but not more Accuracy

stop in at your local PRO shop and they should let you try a bunch of different ones out. then you can pick out which one feels teh best!!!
i have a 26 inch with 3 oz weight on one bow and a 8 inch on the other bow.

I don't use one.  Carrying a compound bow through the places I hunt is like carrying an open umbrella.  I don't need extra weight, extra points to stang on brush, etc. etc.  I tend to view them more as something for archery shooting than hunting.  Then again, I've only killed 1 animal with a bow so take what I say with a grain of salt.... but the 1 arrow I let fly found its mark.

I'm gonna shoot my bow some without the Simms and see if I can even noticed a difference.

Not enough stabalizers made that would help this bow Right! Like you guys didn't see that one coming and weren't thinking the same thing!
