Nikon Archer's Choice?

I have a bit of birthday money to spend and was thinking of getting the Nikon Archer's Choice Rangefinder.  Anybody have one?  What do you think of it?  Is there another model I should look at?  I really like the fact that it takes the incline/decline into account.

I have one and like it, it gives just the one number you need and that's the compensated number. Most others give you two or three numbers in the view finder and in the heat of battle you don't want to pick the wrong number. Only thing I don't like is the black numbers in the readout but to get away from that you'll need to pick up a Leica or Swaro.

I switched to the archers choice this off season. As said it is very simple to use,one setting and one number comes up. Better yet it has worked so far for me everytime I pointed it at a target out at the range and in the woods. I can't say that for my Leupold Rx II,they have to many setting for me and I had them pointed on elk 3 times last season and they didn't read the yardage If anyone knows how to get the Rx II to work and wants a cheap rangefinder make me an offer!

Well I picked one up this evening.  I'll give it a go tomorrow.  Thanks for the info.  Slider, that is a nice range finder, out of my price range though.

I just bought the Nikon Archer's Choice online today, hope it works better than my bushnell. The bushnell I have fogs up, so I'm giving it to my son,lol...

I've used it quite a bit since then.  Verified ranges at a 3D tournament (after we all shot of course) and the angle compensation worked awesome.  It's very simple to use.  Good choice.

Without spending too much money on a Leica or others, you made a good choice, I think.  I have the Leupold RXII and it is extremely difficult to read in low light and has too much junk on the viewer when you are in a hurry.  Over something like 60 yards the angle compensator doesn't work.  That's not too big of a deal - that's a pretty long shot, but it does change where the number shows up (not big in upper middle but small in the lower right - can be disconcerting.)  To do it over again, I wouldn't have bought this particular rangefinder (which is too bad - as a rifle hunter I exclusively used Leupold scopes with great luck and incredible customer service.)

I got my new Archer's Choice Rangefinder today in the mail, I used it already:) I really like it! I took it up to a canyon close to here, tossed my block down the hill and wow:) Then I had to go get my block,lol...

I took a look at my friends new Leupold RX 1000.  Very nice range finder for the money.  I really liked the read out.  It is in read.  So, if you get into a darker canopy it shows up.  Top distance was actual and bottom was the compensated aiming point.

Red is great - the black reticle can be really hard to read under the timber.  I'll need to go check one of those new Leupolds out...
