Looking for a vintage trailer for travel, a home office or Airbnb? Here’s your chance.
The Royal Traveler was manufactured by Traveleze and The US Rubber Company as a light
weight, durable trailer made from a product called Royalex. Royalex was a composite material,
comprising an outer layer of vinyl and hard acrylonitrile butadiene styrene plastic (ABS) and an
inner layer of ABS foam. The layers are bonded by heat treatment. [1] Only 100 prototypes were
produced in 1966 (s/n 035). The 2 halves of the trailer were vacuum formed in this material – a
bottom half and a top half – almost like a walnut shell. The Royalex body (some canoes are
made from this) is lighter than metal, tougher than steel, and never rusts or corrodes. It is a
great insulator too.
The 18 foot travel trailer weighs in at 2400 pounds on axle and 400 pound tongue weight
(empty). It sleeps up to 4 people (1 table that converts to bed). It includes a propane/electric
refrigerator, stove, sink, toilet, shower, fresh water tank, hot water tank, black water holding
tank (valve is stuck) and gas heat.
Everything is in good condition considering it is 57 years old. Please text or email if I can answer
any questions or set up an appointment to view the trailer.

This might get a lot more attention in the classified ads.  Looks pretty sweet!
