Meat Cutter Recomendation NE Corner of Washington
« on: August 27, 2023, 10:21:06 AM »
Looking for recommendations for meat cutter/butcher near GMU 113. Google has shown a couple in Idaho, but not sure I can take it across state lines. This is for my Moose hunt, so will need to be able to get it to cold storage ASAP when it hits the ground. The place I like to use is about a 7 hour drive from where we will be, so looking to find something closer and then go back and pick up the meat, really do not want to chance wasting any meat.

Thank You

RB

My brother used eggers in Spokane several years ago for an Elk. He was out the door for the same price my buddy paid for a small whitetail at olsens in Enumclaw. The snack sticks and breakfast sausage was absolutely amazing.

Is there any cold storage nearby....even if they are not butchers?  A lot of the smaller towns usually have a cold storage that you could get the meat and hang it till you want to travel back.  Maybe contact a cattle rancher in the area and see who they have used.

What moose tag do you have? Usually shade and a hang for a 12 hours is just fine unless it's actually hot
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

Eggers is in Deer Park and has a good reputation as far as I know, (word of mouth).  On the other hand, horror stories abound regarding the most well-known locations in Stevens county.  You are definitely a thrill seeker/risk taker with the others.

I'm not sure if deer Park eaggers still does wild meat.
Few years ago he quit doing wild meat.
Cause I would take all my scraps to him.
To grind to summer ,then I took it to the Spokane one for a year or two. Then I bought my own grinder and started doing it myself.
Maybe he changed his mind and started doing wild meat again.
Although I like doing it myself. If he does wild meat again,I'll take some to him. Just to save myself time.
Big fan of there summer sausage and pepperoni.
Had some breakfast sausage done which is the cheapest, not a fan of that.
But overall they do good work.
Keep us updated if you do call deer Park eaggers.
Just curious if they do wild meat.

I believe you’re right, they weren’t doing wild game when my brother got his elk. I believe he had to go to the south hill location.
