Weekend start
« on: October 08, 2023, 10:36:23 AM »
Chukar spot burnt completely and a sore knee kept me on the wetside this opener. As much as it makes me cringe, I picked up a 3 day phez permit and took the Panz out to Scatter. Not as chaotic as I envisioned for a regular season hunt. Got some great points and some hatchery birds for samiches. Did see some incredibly bad shooting which made me laugh and feel bad at the same time.

Thank you. Been blessed with some incredible wirehairs. Pointers fascinate me with their ability that I still can't understand. I really enjoy getting to show off this one.

Der Panz let me know that he really wanted to stretch his legs this weekend. So we left the ducks alone and crossed the hump for sunshine and quail. He was in heaven and top performing. 18 points today and I couldn't help but take pics. Missed a lot of shooting opportunitie.  I think we are both fine with that. A fine end to our upland season.
