230 grain smack down, 75g powder

Wondering if anybody has shot a 230g smackdown .50 cal sabot (.45 bullet) with a 75g powder charge out of a 28” barrel traditions deer-hunter

Might dial it down to a 60g charge but not sure, it’s been 10+ years since I’ve dialed a muzzy in for deer

That does seem like a small powder charge.

My muzzleloader hunting loads are 100 or 120 grains.

I wonder how many people will touch their nose to their screen trying to read this...

My 10year old just said he wants to try for deer during muzzy and was looking at  powder amounts does this seam like enough of a charge ?

I hunted with 110gr charge as a little kid with a lightweight gun that kicked so much more then my current knight bighorn and it was fine but I would recommend more like 90-100. I shoot 120gr charge these days with 290gr bullet.

Thanks for the reply I got a knight  little horn for him and we are gonna kick a round  a few different loads and bullets and see over next few months what we can do
