Rattling Mountain Whitetails

 I put a camera on me for a rattling sequence just for an idea of how I usually go about it. I was going to edit it down but I left it full length just for real time purposes. The buck came crashing in while I was still rattling. Took me quite a while to decide if I wanted to shoot him. The camera rolling ultimatelt made me decide to and I'm glad I did.

Now I am mad at myself I didn’t go out this weekend.  After chasing and photographing muleys for 3 weeks, I figured I’d go chase whities.  I decided to stay home.   Nice video and buck.

awesome video, that video showing you doing the sequence is much more valuable and a better learning moment for me compared to a chopped up video with the kill shot, thanks so much for posting this. couple questions though.  What made you choose that spot to rattle, where the tracks, just nice open timber, rattled there before, etc., and if you didnt rattle a buck, or passed that buck, how far would you go before another setup.  thanks again and congrats

generally how long would your sequence gone should the buck not have come crashing in?

And then if unsuccessful how long before you start a new sequence?
