SAF, Where are you?
« on: December 29, 2023, 05:20:56 PM »
This link touts 50 years of good work by Second Amendment Foundation of which I have contributed to for many years.

Workman is on here once in awhile, but seems like WA state doesn’t get much help.

I stopped sending my money to NRA because I didn’t like the way Wayne was living it up.

But what’s the point of sending money to SAF if they help everyone around the country except WA state.

Ferguson is running rough shod over us and openly touts that he has never lost to Gun Rights Groups.

When’s it our turn?

Received this reply from Dave Workman on Facebook .Same question.

Bobby It would be swell, but first the cases SAF has in progress versus Washington haven't been moving because the federal courts have been playing a game of hurry up and wait. SAF and NRA are challenging the semi-auto ban for 18-20 year olds, which has been gathering dust.
SAF filed a lawsuit against the magazine ban signed by Jay Inslee in 2022. The semi-auto ban signed this year was challenged this past May.  The problem is that similar lawsuits filed in California against similar laws are ahead of those, and the courts have been waiting to see how those lawsuits fared before acting on WA lawsuits because we're all in the same federal circuit (Ninth US Circuit). I'm pretty certain SAF would be delighted to get WA cases moving because the Supreme Court appears to be waiting for such cases to make the journey through the lower courts.
That's not SAF's fault...it's the liberal federal judges who are doing that.
Ferguson only thinks he can't be beat and he's pretty arrogant about it.

Speaking of Ferguson, there is a guy running against him who can beat him. Dave Reichert, the former congressman and former King County Sheriff, just might be the ONLY Republican who can prevent Ferguson from becoming governor. Reichert was ahead of Ferguson by 2 points in a recent poll.
WA conservatives, and especially gun owners, need to get behind Reichert to first get him through the primary and then the general election. Conservatives and traditional GOP voters MUST turn out in huge numbers. That means no sitting out the elections because of apathy, laziness or plain stupidity. Reichert is the guy who can beat Ferguson on the issues: Public Safety, Taxes, Education; all of that stuff because Reichert has the congressional experience dealing with those issues, and he's good at it.  And he's got one other thing Ferguson doesn't have: Street level law enforcement experience, focusing on criminals rather than honest citizens. Reichert, unlike Ferguson and his far-left friends, has arrested bad guys and he knows the difference between bad guys and good guys.
Reichert is the ONLY candidate with his kind of experience in the race for WA governor.
