Youth Hunt-Looking for a spot

Would like to take my 10 year old out for the youth week(4/1-4/7) in attempt for his first bird. I've been out of the turkey game for a while, I tried one of mentor programs, but it was already booked up. Anybody have any hot tips/spots they could PM? I could trade a west side waterfowl hunt if interested. Thanks

General location might help.
Going east /west /south.
Lots of spots on the Eastside.
Turkeys around every corner.

My son hunts turkey,he is too old for youth.
Will be hunting general,so I wouldn't mind giving a few youth spots.

Hunter399 I'm on the W side, I'm willing to go where needed. I'm aware the majority of birds are in the NE corner,  closer would be sweet... but willing to travel

Glad you found what you needed.   Youth season can be one of the hot times to hunt deepening on the weather.   Last couple of yearswith the late cold and snow had pushed things later.   Usually mating stsrts hot and heavy end of March into April.  If anyone mentioned don't hesitate to take your kid out and inock on some doors of farms out on. The far east side especially north of Spokane.  Good luck.

I've seen it go both ways during the youth season.
Some years turkeys are quiet,or mating so hard that they won't leave the hens no matter how much you call at them.
I've also seen it where you can slam the truck door,they will gobble and come a running.
It's definitely a mixed bag hunt, sometimes good, sometimes not.
April still pretty far out to predict the weather,or how much snow will be around or whatever.
It's looking like an early spring,but who knows snow could fly today.
The trend that time of year is turkeys flocked up on private,still in winter mode.

First - this is why I appreciate the Hunt Washington forum - usually these types of posts become a mess of flame and garbage. Many of us parents are trying to get our kids into hunting and sometimes it takes a little help. I'm a "late on set" hunter - and with life, 3 kids, etc. time in the woods is limited so while I'm putting boots on the ground and doing my own work as much as I can, any advice or tips is always appreciated!

Like the OP - I'm working on plans for the youth hunt. Given OP seems to have found what he's looking for - hope its OK I jump in here.

My son, turning 10 in a few weeks, worked hard all winter to pass his Hunters Ed and just bought his license and turkey tag on Friday. I'm taking him over to the Stevens county area (camping along Lake Roosevelt near Hunters). I've got numerous pins dropped and have hunted (unsuccessfully) in several of the areas in years past myself.

Any advice or directions from locals or those who have more experience getting into birds would be greatly appreciated. Would love to get him his first bird/animal this youth hunt. He's stoked.

I’ll be out this coming weekend, really limited to “road” hunting this year with a 2 month old and a 14 year old. We’re not hardcore turkey hunters, actually Iv only turkey hunted once and killed a decent bird, mostly on a fluke. But it’s a good excuse to get the fam out in the woods for the day.

@mplutodh1 I'll be in the same area with my 10yo Thurs-Sun and sounds like we have similar experience in the area.  LMK how it's going for you and maybe we can swap some intel.  Also wanted to connect in case a helping hand is needed by one or the other.

Good work getting out! I'm not holding my breath for us getting a bird, but I'm hoping we can make it happen. Time is limited. With a 5+ hr drive, by the time we get over to the NE, drop off the camper and get into the woods, Saturday will be a short day. Sunday is hunting day.
