Thanks, a buddy of mine went into Crow Lake on Saturday and I talked to him today and all he got was about 100 mosquito bites and no bear sitings and only one cow elk  :dunno:

Hey Teach,

Just a little backup plan in case you are not finding the bulls that you want. I have worked with Robin Rogers with Rugged Class outfitters. He also owns and runs Squaw Rock Resort now. You should check with him and see if he has a couple of days towards the end of your season that you may be able to reserve with him. He does know where the BIG bulls are. Go into Squaw Rock at the restaurant and look on the wall at the bulls they took last year. He can also help becuase if you are not 100% with your ailment he will still be able to get you into a good position and whistle them on in.

Just a note.

Anyways, I am jealous and good luck!

Brian

well, went up today... and yet again only saw cows spikes and calves. is this a good thing? i would think if you find the cows, when the rut is in the bulls will come down to play... right?

then i decided to see where this government meadows trail went... pretty fun, even though i was in my stocker 4runner...

I use to have the entire archery season to hunt but know I teach and that is a bad time of year plus I have a family and that is another job in itself.

I have one buddy that is going to be picky and the other will shoot a 5x5. He has not ever got anything hunting. I told him to not be to pickynothing is Guaranteed. I know its a well sought after tag but that doesn't mean your not going to eat the tag. The other buddy is only going for big bull.

I'm saving your post Mike! If it dies right there, semi harsh. If it runs down hill, bring your fork  :chuckle: If he does show up and it happens I'll find out who my real friend are. Or at least the dumb ones  :chuckle:
