I drew last year and took a 5 X 5. I knew I needed to start building points so this year as I have done for 7 years plus I put in for the tag and was utterly shocked when I was notified that I was drawn again.

Along with a prayer for a 6 X 6 or better this year I am also praying that the temperatures are a little cooler this year.

My brother and i drew this tag this year and have done a couple of scouting trips, found lots of elk and some dandy bulls. Dont worry, when the rut starts those bulls will be coming out of the woodwork!

This is my fourth time getting drawn. Just hike in away from the roads and trails and you'll see bulls. I've seen bulls up Ravens Roost, Pikes peak, Milk creek, Pine creek and Spring creek. Some bulls answer to anything and some run away when you call. Find water up high and just sit. Good luck to you all and I'll see you in the field.

Went out scouting on Sunday morning, Saw one 5x5 and two does. Kind of dissapointed. The bull was on the road on the way in. Hiked roughly 8 to nine miles round trip. Saw some fresh tracks and one nice rub. Nice and chilly in the morning. Thought that i would see more. The 5x5 had no velvet either.

I know several guys who have eaten Peaches!

:hello: Not that I didn't have bulls around me, I hunted hard just couldn't seal the deal hunting by myself. In 07 my son drew the tag and I had several bulls into the shot but for one reason or another my son couldn't get one off. I had to praise him for his patience and ethics as he wanted to make a good killing shot.
Shut up and Hunt!

Call me, you got my number....  I may be able to point you in the right direction.

We must reject the idea that every time a law's broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions.
