Muzzle blast is likely to loosen shingles! But I like the roof-sniping angle of it. 'Maybe' the 17 HMR is a better choice. Presuming a pitched roof, take a sleeping bag with you to make it easier to wait them out, laying on the side opposite their likely approach, most-hidden from view.Ivar
