Spring turkey hunt
« on: March 10, 2024, 12:57:09 PM »
Well, I'm going to take some time for myself to go out turkey hunting for an Eastern.  Going back to the home land of MN.  Then come back for a turkey camp for new turkey hunters.  We are targetting new hunters for this camp.  Registration opens March 18th at 8am.  Limited amount of spots.  Might as well dump all that I am doing in one post.  For those that don't Facebook.  Rich Mann and myself will be doing a turkey 101 March 23 and it will be in person and virtual.  Zoom link will be posted on our Facebook page and I will post it here a couple days before.  If you are coming in person, please register here https://your.nwtf.org/events/my_events/index.php?action=preview_event&event_id=MTgyMjA&fbclid=IwAR1820PctBLigjpXB3S1Zwp0-1Wwl91bHNRnqqi2Pjk1pMQlz_gjFYSLYsU.  We are limited to 50 in person.  Any questions just DM me.

Glad to see you doing this to help pass it onto the next generation.

One question, why is it limited to hunters 12 years old and older? Just seems odd as there are plenty of hunters younger than that need mentoring and a lot of them start out hunting turkeys.
The best friend a guy could have asked for. RIP chasing pheasants in heaven Denali girl.

That is the number that was landed on from the past turkey camps.  WDFW has always done the registration part, and that is the age they wanted to start with.  Also couldbe with the longer youth season.  If you have a younger hunter just DM me.  We can talk.
