So I turned 56 on April 13th. For my birthday my son took me on a guided steelhead trip down the Sauk river along with his brother in law. They both caught their first steelhead and I added one so 3 for three. The whole experience was made so great by our guide Robbie Norman from Rogue Anglers NW.
This guy worked his butt off for ten hours over 8 miles of river and was a clinic to me
I learned more about steelhead fishing than in the 50 years previous. It was a very relaxed atmosphere but I could tell he took it very serious putting us on fish and keeping us fishing.
Top end gear with lots of xtras so there was no down time.
Controlling that boat for 10 hours straight was no joke.
What a great present from my son what a beautiful river to fish. Even if we hadn't caught any fish it would have been one of the best days I've ever had
