Look a warning to hikers reguarding wolves
« on: May 01, 2024, 05:14:17 AM »
Heaven forbid you should have your dog off leash or protect yourself with a gun.

The only man who never makes a mistake, is the man who never does anything!!
The further one goes into the wilderness, the greater the attraction of its lonely freedom.

My God, we are lucky we've seen a rise in population? And if you want to protect yourself and you don't have a can of bear spray you should have a hose and hose them down from a distance. I cannot believe the grainy tree huggers in this state. That's what those old ladies should have had when the Cougars attacked is a hose to hose them down. Absolutely ridiculous.

He says all they need is a reliable food source: enough elk and deer to hunt. That seems to be the plan right? Then they say don't worry about the Wolves there's 1000's of bear and Cougar out there!

I hear rolling over on your back and showing them your belly is a sound tactic as well.

If steps one and two don’t work repeat steps one and two. Great advice.

Also if one does attack don’t play dead, fight like your life depends on it. More great advice.

And of course if it attacks your dog, let it, this is a good time to get away.

Living with wolves sounds so peaceful.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

Every father should remember that one day his children will follow his example instead of his advice.

Its funny how they believe in their biologist when it comes to wolf populations but not when it comes to bear populations.

I'll be sure to add my "powerful hose" to my pack for safety. I'll be sure not to add the high capacity tank, which would essentially make it an assault hose.... :o

When they say throw things at them, does a 250 gr. Hollow Point chunk of lead count as a thing?
