And Yes PopeShawn,  that'll keep me motivated alright.   At this point i'm trying to just calm down for a couple of months.  My blood pressure has been raised since I found out about being drawn. lol

Pope, if you don't mind me asking, how did your Moose score?  I see 7 points to a side, forked fronts so you got that for paddle length.  I'm hoping to take mine with a bow, so am trying to get better at judging Moose.  Paddle width on the left is around 9" I'd guess.  Hard to judge the right side for width, also hard to judge total width from this picture.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.

You are right on Goldtip.  Here is how I scored mine.  I forgot so I had to go read my original moose post to see what the measurements were:

Palm lengths -30" & 29"
Palm Widths - 9" & 9"
outside spread - 44.5"
beam mass -7" & 7"
points - 7 & 8 pts

Total:  150.5".

I think it would net 148" or so?  The interesting question is whether the split brows in the front will count or the one side is considered a drop tine?  I think it's split brows the way I read how to score because it comess off the front and then bends down.  It would be an interesting question for a scorer.  One of these days I'll put down the wine glass and get out a real tape and get accurate 1/8th measurements.   :brew:

You know,  I've been sleeping ok, but during the day it's pretty much all I think about.   scouring over maps, trying to talk to guys and get any info I can get.   Its pretty fun.     :IBCOOL:

I'm sleeping OK, but yeah, daylight hours has me pretty consumed with thoughts of Moose.  Especially since I just got my Canadian from last year back from the Taxidermist last night.  I will get pics of the mount up tomorrow, turned out pretty good.  Will be spending this weekend scouting more of my Moose area.

WOW, Finally found some guys who have drawn a moose tag or have had a moose hunt recently. I'm from the west side of the state and drew a selkirks permit. I plan on a few trips to the area to check out things. Ive been trying for a permit forever.  If anyone can give me alittle info. it would be apperciated. Looking at best prospects, maps, and places to camp.
I'm an avid elk hunter, but this hunt is the hunty of a life time and I CAN"T WAIT.
