DU project
« on: June 08, 2024, 06:24:44 PM »
Maybe around 15 years ago watched a few ponds constructed as I passed by from time to time, probably DU but not sure.  All I know is they were filled up nicely from crab creek almost year round and could see most species of divers and puddle ducks especially on their migration north. Also looked like a cash cow for early season birds because there were many nesters as well.

Fast forward to today, is now completely dried up and is a desert even at the end of peak run off. I asked what is up here and some claimed the area has been dry for many years.  It was shock and ahh for me and was hoping my former hunting partner was still not acting like Baghdad Bob.
Don't read my post if facts hurt your feeling.
