As I eluded to earlier, every single racked buck I posted pictures of tonight is dead.  Every time someone would send me a success pic this fall I'd recognize, go back through my gallery, and confirm.  It was rather depressing. I swore I was done being a desert rat but thought it would be fun next summer to go find some familiar faces and see how they are looking with another year of growth. Think I'll cancel that plan  :chuckle: :'(

Nicely said brother. That night will never be forgotten. By far the biggest deer I have ever seen and not just the horns, corndogs body was bigger than a lot of elk I have delt with and that’s no bs.

Facts!

Spike elk backstrap next to Corn Dogs backstrap.  Wasn't a small bodied spike either.

Absolutely amazing buck and story!  Perseverance, patience and a little luck paid off.
Wondering if "Hunter" scored a nice deer also?
