Pikeminnow Program App - SUCKS - Help please
« on: June 16, 2024, 04:45:12 PM »
So as I am nearing retirement age I am on the lookout for developing other outdoor adventures and things to master.  Heard of the pikeminnow program before but decided to give it a go.

Got on the website.  It said you have to make an account.  - Straight forward did that.

Next step - got to register for each day you fish.  They got an app for that. So got that on my phone and logged in to my account.  Hit OK on the register tab and it took me to SAW Washington where I had to log in.  I have two SAW accounts and neither one of them would let me get to the next step.

On the web site for Columbia Point Part they had a picture of a registration box with an info sign so I thought screw the app Ill just register at the box.  Got there this morning no box.

SO I made a new email and password all on my phone and I got fat fingers - no small feat.  Back to SAW with this and it let me into SAW.  Then I had to select a service.  No where could I find a pikeminow service or and services under WDFW.

So thought I'm here might as well as catfish.  Got checked by a wdfw fish count person and asked about it. She said 'yeah cant register at a box anymore and all I hear is that the app does not work'.

So after this long rant, has anyone got the pikeminnow app figured out?  Cuz I am decent at tech and spent hours on it and it just has a lot of dead ends or loops me back to where I was three screens ago.  If there are any leads on this much appreciated.

That’s a bummer.
I was hoping the app would make things a lot easier.  I’d try calling on Monday.

Yes I will call tomorrow.  Based of the wdfw fish counter I am not the only one that cant make it work.  Would think it would be way tested before now.  And to push it into SAW is beyond me.  That is hard enough to navigate on a pc let alone on a cell phone on the bank of the columbia river.

Needless to say they did not get any pikeminnow killed by me today.

Ive been using the app with no issues and im very technologically challenged. they did have some bugs to work out at the start of the season but has been trouble free, at least for me, ever since.

SAW is Secure Access Washington.   It allows you to access state systems.
