Muzzy tag exchange for multi season tag
« on: June 20, 2024, 07:22:14 PM »
So if I drew a multi season deer tag, and I bought a muzzy deer tag. Then I applied in the special hunts with said tag. Can I go and exchange my muzzy tag for a multiseason tag? I was under the impression that I could, the clerk at the store couldn’t make it happen.

You should be able to purchase your multi season until the end of July. The clerk needs to contact dfw and void your current tag then issue the multi season.

Did you look online? I know in the past you could go online and buy it you just had so many days to turn the single weapon tag in to a dealer. If not yea just find yourself a new clerk.

You could probably get the WDFW on the phone yourself while you're at the store if the clerk doesn't know how to do it. You can't get the multi season tag without first turning in the muzzleloader tag you have. So be sure to go to the license dealer Monday through Friday during business hours when WDFW will be able to answer the phone.

I tried online, but it states I must surrender original deer tag.

You just need to turn in the original Muzzy tag and they will give you the Multi tag.

After some back and forth with a state employee that didn’t know her own rules/laws, I have a multiseason in hand.
